Church Planting Apprentice

Grace Presbyterian Church (ARP), Columbia, SC

Grace Presbyterian Church is seeking a church planting apprentice with a passion for reaching the lost and a desire to serve on the front lines of gospel ministry. This role is for a man sensing a call to pastoral ministry who is eager to be trained through hands-on involvement in evangelism, discipleship, and leadership.

The apprentice will be embedded in the life of the church while helping lay the groundwork for a future daughter church—investing in people, proclaiming Christ, and learning the work of church planting firsthand.

We are looking for someone who is humble, teachable, and driven by a heart to see the lost come to Christ.

Church Planter

Southern Carroll County, Maryland

The Northeast Presbytery of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is seeking a Church Planter. We are aiming to plant a church that is outreach-oriented and distinctively Reformed and Presbyterian. We are looking for a winsome and godly man who:

  • Has a demonstrable record in personal evangelism.
  • Preaches clear, applicable expository sermons.
  • Can articulate the Reformed faith as summarized in the Westminster Confession and Catechisms.
  • Is committed to reformed worship.
  • If married, has a healthy family life and a wife who shares his commitment to church planting and hospitality.
  • Has an M.Div. (with Greek and Hebrew) from an accredited and approved seminary and is ordained in a NAPARC denomination or eligible for ordination/reception/transfer into the ARP.

The provisional name for the church is South Carroll Reformed Presbyterian Church —southcarrollpres.org

Our synod and presbytery offer personal assessment for church planting gifts, training, provisional session oversight, and manpower from nearby sister churches. The right man will receive a very competitive compensation package.

Church Planter

Iredell, Cabarrus or Rowan County, NC

Coddle Creek ARP Church is seeking to plant a daughter church within 30 minutes (in either Iredell, Cabarrus or Rowan County) from our location. We are a 273 year old Christ-centered, Biblically-ordered congregation that prioritizes worship, and has a growing heart for missions and outreach. Our multigenerational congregation is vibrant and growing, both numerically and spiritually. We are blessed with officers and members who are engaged, excited, and committed to church planting. Our Session and Pastors envision a mother-daughter church plant with an estimated core group of around 20 people, which will be financially supported by Coddle Creek, First Presbytery, and Outreach North America.

Church Planter

Parrish, Florida

Christ Presbyterian Church is looking for a Pastor (a gentlemen who is currently ordained, or is ordainable in the ARPC) who has a passion for church planting, ideally with at least some experience. We plan to call the planter on staff here at CPC for between 6 months – 1 year in order to serve on our pastoral staff and gather a core group (estimated 10% of our current membership) here at CPC, while evangelizing and engaging in gospel outreach in Parrish (near where the church will eventually meet). The planter should be willing to relocate to the Parrish area in order to lay roots for the primary purpose of outreach and evangelism.

The Pastor should submit to the Westminster Standards (with reasonable exceptions), and be a good team player. The church planter should be sold out for the gospel; a solid, gospel-centered, conservative teacher-preacher-leader. We are avoiding any planter who is soft on liberalism and progressivism in the church. We are expecting a planter who is somewhere between the ages of 25 and 55 years old. Church planting from our perspective is all about reaching people for the Kingdom of God, and discipling one another for the sake of growing in Christ and being conformed into his image.
