Home Missions for the ARP Church
As the home missions agency of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Outreach North America is committed to spreading the Word of God by helping presbyteries plant and support mission congregations across the nation.
Resourcing Presbyteries to Plant and Strengthen Churches
- Recruiting, assessing, resourcing, training, and supporting church planters who have been called and placed in the field by their presbyteries
- Coaching, training, and equipping established churches to flourish in their communities
- Training and equipping Christians to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to the Bible as the Word of God
The ARPC is a small, familial denomination committed to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ – the life, death, and resurrection of the Son of God in our place – and to the proclamation of that good news to all people. We embrace the authority of Scripture, a Reformed tradition of faith, and presbyterian form of government. The ARPC was formalized more than 200 years ago, with roots tracing back to 16th c. Scotland; today, in God’s grace, we continue to pursue worship and ministry together and look eagerly to the Lord for His guidance in the years ahead.
What does it mean that ONA is a "Home Missions" Agency?
When we think of missions, we typically think “to the ends of the earth” meaning foreign or world missions only.
Acts 1:8 tells the Church that “you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” For us today, Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria mean local and national missions, thus “Home Missions.”
Missions, home and abroad, is fundamentally the sending of called and ordained pastors to start new churches.
