September 11th - Embracing the Gospel
Once a spiritual conversation is opened with someone, giving that person a chance to respond to the Hope of the Gospel is vital. But what is the Gospel and what does someone need to know in order to respond? The Gospel presentation can be outlined using John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life”. So what does a person need to know to become a follower of Christ? That God loved and because He loved, He gave. Now, what does a person need to do to become a follower of Christ? They need to believe in Jesus, put their trust in Jesus and admit their need (because of sin).
Of course there is more that comes once someone believes in Jesus, but we encourage ARP churches to teach your congregation to use this simple method from John 3:16 to give people in their spheres of influence the opportunity to embrace Jesus.
Take Time this week to:
… go over how your church can invite people to Embrace the Gospel using John 3:16 or another method that your congregation already uses.
